The majorettes, or "major-its" as they are affectionately called, are a vital aspect of the marching band program for the Karns Band. They provide a visual spark to the marching band performance each night, as well as much needed energy and support from the stands throughout the game-day experience. These ladies also compete in individual and small group shows throughout the southeastern United States after marching band season ends. They are coached by the remarkably talented 2018 Miss Majorette of America, WBTF Jr. Women's World Gold Medalist, and former featured twirler for the University of Tennessee-Knoxville Volunteers Pride of the Southland Marching band Laney Puhalla.
